Mena has a mayor/council form of government, with the Mayor, City Clerk/Treasurer, and City Attorney serving four-year terms, and six City Council Members serving two-year terms, elected at-large.  The administrative offices are housed in a renovated U.S. Post Office at 520 Mena Street. City Hall was constructed in 1917 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
