MENA SCHOOLS
Mena's School District holds the vision that: each child learns to his fullest potential, has positive self-esteem, maintains peace of mind, and is accepted by peers, teachers, and the community. All people are productive and participate in educational, social, and community life activities.
The community is responsible with family and schools to provide a safe environment, to educate, to enrich, and to assist with resources and opportunities for all children, Families participate in the child's learning and social education by knowing what the system is teaching and incorporating it in everyday life. Communication unifies and coordinates curriculum, enhances daily life skills, work atmosphere, and overall growth.
The Mena School District is mandated to comprehensively review its plan of action each five years. It is committed to maintaining its position as one of the top 5% school districts within the State of Arkansas. Mena's students consistently score above the national average on all standardized examinations. Seventy percent or more of our students attend post-secondary institutions of education.

RICH MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Rich Mountain Community College is located on the eastern edge of Mena.
Rich Mountain Community College is in the center of an area experiencing industrial growth. It is located on a forty-acre site on College Drive, east of U.S. Electrical Motors and across the street from the Mena Medical Center.
Workforce Training. RMCC is a fully North Central accredited college which offers associate degrees in several areas plus provides facilities for junior, senior, and post graduate courses which may be transferred to other college or universities.
In addition, the college works with industry requests to provide specific training for Specific Industry Codes (SIC), primarily SIC 20 through 39, which may be partially funded by Arkansas Department of Economic Development (ADED), provided certain specifications are met, to reduce the company cost of training personnel. Examples of services offered are customized training in language, quality management, and situations involving computer simulation. In addition, facilities for teleconferencing are available.
